New Bentley Ombré By Mulliner Models Feature 60-Hour Handcrafted Paint

Bentley doesn’t build cars the way others do. It builds moving art. The new Ombré by Mulliner lineup shows that perfectly. Three cars—the Continental GT Speed, GTC Speed, and Flying Spur—each receive a paint finish that takes two craftsmen nearly 60 hours to complete. The result is a smooth color fade that changes with the light.
To start with, the GTC Speed blends Sunburst Gold into Orange Flame, glowing like Monument Valley at dusk. The GT Speed shifts from Topaz to Windsor Blue, a mix inspired by the deep coastal blues around Monterey.

Meanwhile, the Bentley Flying Spur goes moodier, fading from Tungsten to Onyx, a reflection of the quiet night skies over Southern California. Everything is done by hand at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe. Each layer and blend has to line up perfectly, from the roof all the way down to the doors. There’s no automation here, just patience and skill.

Inside, Bentley keeps the vibe going. Gold fades to orange in the GTC, Topaz melts into deep blue in the GT, and the Flying Spur cools from grey to dark graphite. Even the stitching, trim, and wheels sync with the same rhythm.

The GTC is a first for Bentley, and it wears that fade finish beautifully. It proves that luxury isn’t just about horsepower or status; it’s about the small details that make you stop and stare.

Of course, this kind of work doesn’t come cheap. The Ombré treatment costs around $68,000 per car. Just for a paint, that might sound wild, but once you see it under sunlight, you’ll get it.
