Bentley Celebrates 10 Years Of Bentayga With Artenara Edition

The Bentley Bentayga is now entering its tenth year on the market. To mark that milestone, Bentley Motors has introduced another new version called the Bentayga Artenara Edition, a model that focuses mostly on design details rather than performance changes.
The name comes from the village of Artenara on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria. At first, it might sound like a random choice, but there is a connection. Overlooking the village is Roque Bentayga, the rocky peak that actually inspired the Bentayga’s name.

Bentley has worked that reference into the car in small ways. The mountain’s outline appears etched into the dashboard, perforated into the seat backs and door panels, and even projected onto the ground by the welcome lights.

Visually, the Artenara Edition also borrows some touches from Bentley’s Mulliner customization division. It features the brand’s double-diamond grille and rides on 22-inch wheels, with the option to upgrade to large 23-inch “Super Lux” wheels. Buyers can choose from eight curated exterior and interior color combinations, all paired with tri-tone upholstery. Until now, that trim was mainly reserved for the ultra-luxurious Bentayga Mulliner Extended Wheelbase.

Each color combination has its own name, such as Beluga or Pale Brodgar, and buyers can further tailor the look with either Bright Chrome or Blackline exterior trim. Of course, anyone wanting something more personal can still go through Mulliner and create a completely bespoke configuration.

Mechanically, nothing changes. The Artenara Edition uses the same engines already offered in the Bentayga lineup. That means a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 542 horsepower or a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 plug-in hybrid producing a combined 456 horsepower. The SUV will be available in both standard and extended-wheelbase versions, but the longer model does not offer the hybrid option.

Despite sounding like a special limited edition, Bentley has not confirmed that the Artenara will be limited in production. It appears to be a new variant within the Bentayga range. Pricing has not been announced yet, but it will likely sit above the roughly $210,000 starting price of the standard model.
