Audi Expands Q4 E-Tron Lineup with New 263-Mile Variant

Audi managed to sell over 100,000 Q4 e-trons in 2024, making it one of the few bright spots in an otherwise rough year. To build on that momentum, the company is introducing a new high-range entry-level version.
Set to be available for order later this month, the Audi Q4 40 e-tron comes with a 63 kWh battery powering a rear-mounted motor that produces 201 hp. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 8.1 seconds and has a top speed of 99 mph. On a full charge, it offers up to 263 miles of range.

When it's time to recharge, the Audi Q4 E-Tron’s 165 kW DC fast-charging capability comes in handy. It can take the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes, and a quick 10-minute stop can add around 96 miles of range. Audi has also added the option for manual battery preconditioning, a useful update for those who prefer not to rely on the navigation system’s automatic preconditioning function.

Pricing in Germany starts at €46,150 ($47,836), making it significantly more affordable than the €52,950 ($54,885) Q4 45 e-tron. That model, however, comes with a larger 82 kWh battery and a more powerful 282 hp (286 PS) motor. For those looking for a sleeker option, the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron starts at €48,150 ($49,904).
