Audi Adds New Plug-In Q5 Variants With Up To 362 HP And 62 Miles Of EV Range

Audi has added new plug-in hybrid options to the redesigned Q5 lineup in Europe, offering both regular and Sportback versions with two power levels.
Both Audi Q5 variants use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and a 25.9 kWh battery. Power goes through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and all versions come with all-wheel drive.

The base model delivers 295 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0–62 mph sprint in 6.2 seconds. For more performance, buyers can step up to a 362-hp version with 369 lb-ft of torque, cutting the 0–62 time to just 5.1 seconds. Top speed for both versions is limited to 155 mph.

The new battery is about 45% larger than before, allowing up to 100 km (62 miles) of electric-only range, depending on conditions. Charging is faster, too—upgraded from 7.4 kW to 11 kW AC—so a full recharge now takes roughly 2.5 hours.

Inside, the Audi Q5 plug-in hybrids get sporty S line treatment with black leather seats, tri-zone climate control, and Audi’s latest tech: an 11.9-inch digital cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment screen. Other features include an S sport suspension, red brake calipers, and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

Built in Mexico, the new Audi Q5 plug-in hybrids will go on sale in Europe later this month. Prices in Germany start at €63,400 for the standard Q5 e-hybrid and €65,900 for the Sportback. The more powerful versions cost €71,800 and €74,300, respectively.
