Aston Martin Valkyrie LM Is A 697-HP Toy Built For The Lucky Few
by AutoExpert | 10 June, 2025
Aston Martin has just unveiled the Valkyrie LM, a track-exclusive hypercar born directly from its Le Mans racing program—and only 10 will ever exist.
At a glance, the Valkyrie LM looks nearly identical to the actual race car it’s based on. The aggressive aero, sculpted bodywork, and towering rear wing aren’t for show: they’re functional. The luxury carmaker hasn’t given exact downforce figures but says it can generate a staggering 3.5 g of lateral grip and 2.5 g under hard braking.

Powering the Aston Martin Valkyrie LM is the same naturally aspirated 6.5-liter Cosworth V12 as the racer, but curiously, it’s been limited to 697 hp—far less than the 1,000 hp version in the road-legal Valkyrie. Still, with a dry weight of just 2,270 lbs, the LM is designed for cornering speed and track consistency rather than straight-line bragging rights. Meanwhile, the top speed is 210 mph, with power sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed gearbox.

Inside the Aston Martin Valkyrie LM, there’s just one carbon seat, a race-spec steering wheel, and no unnecessary electronics. All the balance-adjusting systems and weight penalties used in racing have been stripped out. What remains is raw and surgical: the same suspension setup and carbon brakes from the endurance car, a larger fuel tank for long stints, and custom Pirelli slicks.

Owners won’t just get a car. They’ll be coached like works drivers. Aston is offering driver training, race license certification, and track support starting at Silverstone, with more F1 circuits to follow.

CEO Adrian Hallmark calls it “the most exclusive Aston Martin owners club in the world,” and he’s not wrong. The Valkyrie LM is about experiencing the absolute limit of what Aston Martin can build when rules are no longer in the way. Pricing hasn’t been revealed, but expect it to be as extreme as the car itself. First deliveries are scheduled for 2026.
