Aston Martin Confirmed Upgrades For 2022, Including Higher-Performance For The DB11 V8

For 2022, Aston Martin is introducing a few minor modifications to its lineup, including the launch of a new online configurator where you can view the tweaks in action. More power for the DB11 V8, additional wheel options for the DBS and DBX, and Superleggera and AMR tags are being eliminated to optimize Aston Martin's lineup.

The most significant changes are found in the DB11 coupe and convertible variants equipped with the standard V8. The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine now generates 528 hp (394 kW), resulting in a new and enhanced max speed of 192 mph (308 km/h). This is a 25 hp increase over the previous year's variant. Sports Plus Seats are now available as an option on the DB11 V8 to deal with that greater speed.

The DB11 V12 Coupe retains its 630 hp (470 kW) but lacks the AMR tag. The DBS gets the same treatment, losing the Superleggera badge but keeping the same twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 with 715 hp (533 kW) and a max speed of 211 mph (340 km/h). Aston Martin claims that removing the AMR and Superleggera badges simplifies the lineup.

New 21-inch wheel styles for the DBS and a set of new 23-inch wheel choices for the DBX SUV are among the visual upgrades. Buyers may also choose from 3 interior "environments" in the new configurator, each with highly selected colors, materials, and motifs by the Aston Martin Design team.

Using perforated semi-aniline leather, contrast stitching, and up to 38 interior color choices, the Inspire environment emphasizes high-end quality. As the name suggests, Accelerate provides a sportier look with a special leather and Alcantara combination, as well as up to 10 leather tones and 4 highlight colors. With 10 inside color options in both monotone and duotone combos, the Create theme gives a fresh look.

The Aston Martin configurator is open on the company's website if you want to see the new color choices and wheel configurations for yourself. Prices for any of the 2022 model year automobiles have yet to be revealed but don't imagine big adjustments from last year.
