Abarth Isn’t Done With Gas Just Yet: Meet The 2025 Fiat Pulse Abarth

Abarth isn’t giving up on gas-powered cars just yet, at least not in South America. While the brand has gone fully electric in Europe, it's keeping the internal combustion engine alive with the 2025 Pulse Abarth.
This updated version brings a sharper look to the Fiat Pulse. The front has a new grille that takes inspiration from Maserati, now with Abarth lettering and a small scorpion badge. Red trim and a revised bumper help give it a sportier feel. Around back, it keeps the same dual exhaust pipes, while new 18-inch black alloy wheels round out the changes.

Inside, future buyers will find leather sport seats with Abarth stitching, updated door panels, and a standard sunroof. The tech is familiar, with wireless phone charging, a 7-inch digital display, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, and basic safety features like lane warning, automatic emergency braking, and parking sensors.

The engine remains unchanged. It's a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that runs on gasoline or ethanol. It makes 183 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that powers the front wheels. Drivers can switch between Sport, Manual, and Poison modes, with the last one giving the quickest performance. Abarth says the SUV can go from 0 to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 134 mph.

In Brazil, the refreshed Fiat Pulse Abarth starts at R$157,990 (around $24,600), which is more than the regular Fiat Pulse but still cheaper than the electric Abarth 600e sold in Europe. For fans of small, fun, gas-powered cars, the Pulse Abarth may be a solid option with plenty of character.
