$22,500 Off The 2024 BMW XM: Deal Of The Year Or Still Too Much?
by AutoExpert | 29 March, 2025
Looks like BMW is pulling out all the stops to get the 2024 XM moving, and the deals are pretty wild. According to a dealer bulletin uncovered by CarsDirect, BMW is throwing out up to $22,500 in discounts on its first-ever M plug-in hybrid. Yep, you read that right—twenty-two-and-a-half grand off a brand-new 2024 BMW XM.
If you’re trading in from another brand (Conquest) or already driving a BMW (Loyalty), you can snag $5,000 off the top. On top of that, if you pay cash or finance, BMW cuts you another $15,000 off. But if you decide to lease instead, the deal gets even sweeter with $17,500 in lease incentives. Altogether, that’s $22,500 off if you go the lease route.
Of course, there’s a catch—these deals only apply to leftover 2024 models. But it’s not like you’ll be fighting for the last one on the lot. According to Autotrader, there are still around 60 new XMs chilling at dealerships across the US in just about every color. Clearly, BMW’s eager to get these moving, which makes sense given how things are going.
Let’s talk numbers. The 2024 BMW XM has been struggling hard. BMW sold less than 2,000 units in the US last year and moved 7,813 worldwide. That’s not exactly a win for what’s supposed to be the M division’s crown jewel.

Critics have been roasting the XM for being too heavy, too similar to other BMW SUVs, and, let’s be honest, it’s got a face only a mother could love. Still, we think it’s a decent enough ride—packs a punch and handles surprisingly well for something that weighs as much as a small house.

At these new prices, though, the XM might actually be worth a look, especially if you’re eyeing a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid or Range Rover but want to keep some cash in your pocket. What do you think? Are these discounts enough to make the XM worth a shot, or is it still missing the mark?
