2027 Ford Bronco To Receive Its Biggest Update Yet
by AutoExpert | 26 February, 2026
When the Bronco came back in 2021, a lot of people expected the usual playbook. Launch it, hype it, then rush into a big facelift a few years later. But Ford did not go that route. Instead, they have been quietly refining it year after year. No dramatic makeovers, no forced redesigns. Just small changes that actually make sense.
And it worked. Ford has now confirmed that the 2027 Bronco will get its biggest update so far. It will not be a completely new generation, but the changes should be noticeable even if you are not a hardcore Bronco fan.

According to engineer Seth Goslawski, most updates have come straight from owner feedback. People asked for certain features, better usability, and small improvements, and Ford listened.
You can see that mindset in the 2025 model. The Base trim came back. Big Bend and Heritage Edition are now four-door only. Black Diamond turned into a package. Ford also added the Stroppe Edition, which brings some old-school racing vibes into the lineup.

Inside, practical upgrades became standard or more widely available, like ambient footwell lighting, heated steering wheels, extra grab handles, and auxiliary switches. On the performance side, electric brake boost is now standard across all engines, and the HOSS 3.0 suspension is easier to get.
None of this reinvents the Bronco. But together, it makes it easier to live with and better for what people actually use it for. Moreover, the sales numbers prove buyers are happy.

In 2025, Bronco hit a record 146,007 units sold, up nearly 34 percent. January 2026 sales climbed again. So while a bigger refresh is on the way, Ford clearly is not in a rush. The steady approach is paying off.
