2026 Kia EV9 Adds Value With Lower Prices And Better Range
by AutoExpert | 28 May, 2025
Kia isn’t jacking up prices on the EV9 for 2026—in fact, they’re doing the opposite. While the base model holds steady at $56,395 (including destination), a few trims are actually a bit more wallet-friendly this time around. Most notably, the range-topping GT-Line is now $2,000 cheaper than last year.
The EV9 returns in the same five trims: Light Standard Range, Light Long Range, Wind, Land, and GT-Line. The lineup remains largely unchanged, but there are a few cool updates worth talking about—like the new Nightfall Edition.
The Nightfall package, available on the Land trim, isn’t just about looks. It borrows the GT-Line’s Boost mode, which bumps torque from 443 to 516 lb-ft, slicing the 0 to 60 mph time down to just 4.5 seconds. It also brings blacked-out trim, 20-inch black wheels, and a new color called Roadrider Brown, which looks especially sharp with the dark accents.

Kia has also quietly trimmed some prices. The Light Long Range model now starts $2,000 lower than before, while the Land is down by $1,000. Meanwhile, the GT-Line starts at $73,395—$2,000 less than the 2025 version. Range has seen some small but welcome improvements too. The GT-Line now goes an estimated 280 miles on a charge (up from 270), and both the Wind and Land trims now hit 283 miles (up from 280).

Even the Light Long Range model got a tiny bump to 305 miles. And if all that wasn’t enough, Kia confirmed that a brand-new EV9 GT is joining the family for 2026. No specs yet, but expect it to turn up the heat with more performance and likely a higher price tag. If you’ve been thinking about getting an EV9, the 2026 model gives you more for your money, with better range, some price cuts, and a few fresh options to sweeten the deal.
