2026 Hyundai Palisade Debuts With Hybrid Option And Higher Price
by AutoExpert | 17 July, 2025
If you’ve been eyeing the Hyundai Palisade for your next family SUV, the 2026 version just got a big update and a bit of a price bump to go with it.
Unveiled at the New York Auto Show, the new 2026 Hyundai Palisade starts at $38,935, which is about $1,700 more than before. On the positive side, Hyundai’s packing in more space, more features, and, for the first time, a hybrid option.

The base 2026 Hyundai Palisade SE trim already comes nicely equipped with LED lights, acoustic glass, and 18-inch alloys. Inside, future owners will find an 8-passenger layout, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and safety tech including Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist, and Blind-Spot Collision Warning, just to name a few.
Step up to the SEL for $41,440, and you get extras like heated front seats, leatherette upholstery, second-row captain’s chairs, and a power liftgate. There are also optional Convenience and Premium packages that add goodies like a sunroof, digital key, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and even a surround view monitor.

Higher trims like the Limited ($49,270) and Calligraphy ($54,060) bring the luxury. Take, for example, a dual-pane sunroof, 20- or 21-inch wheels, Nappa leather, a 14-speaker Bose system, a head-up display, and massaging front seats. If rugged is more your thing, there’s the XRT PRO model at $49,370 with off-road touches like a 1-inch lift, recovery hooks, blacked-out details, and all-terrain tires.
All non-hybrid models use a 3.5-liter V6 making 287 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed automatic and either front- or all-wheel drive. Fuel economy is decent for its size, topping out at 25 mpg on the highway.

Now, for something new: the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid. It ditches the V6 for a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine, two electric motors, and a small battery pack, making a combined 329 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. It’s more powerful and more efficient, with a projected 34 mpg, though official numbers haven’t been confirmed yet.
Hybrid pricing starts at $43,660 for the SEL and climbs to $58,280 for the fully loaded Calligraphy with all-wheel drive. Note: All prices exclude the $1,495 destination fee.

No matter which trim you pick, the new 2026 Hyundai Palisade is more versatile, more tech-savvy, and now even greener.
