2025 GMC Terrain Gets Price Hike But Packs More Tech And Features

GMC has revealed pricing for the 2025 Terrain, and yes, prices are climbing. The base Elevation model starts at $31,395 for front-wheel drive and $33,395 for all-wheel drive. That’s a $1,300 bump over last year’s entry-level trims, which started at $30,095 and $31,695, respectively.
Replacing the old SLE base trim, the new Elevation model comes packed with features that were optional before. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, Adaptive Cruise Control, remote start, and power windows with express up/down functions are now all standard.
As for tech, the 2025 GMC Terrain now gets a 15-inch premium infotainment system with Google built in (Google Assistant, Google Maps, and real-time traffic updates are all included), along with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster.
GMC confirmed that AT4 and Denali trims will return but not until the 2026 model year. For reference, the previous AT4 AWD started at $36,890, while the Denali AWD came in at $39,995. GMC also dropped the mid-tier SLT trim entirely.
Under the hood, all 2025 GMC Terrain models stick with the same setup—a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine pumping out 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Whether you opt for FWD or AWD, the powertrain stays the same.
So, while prices are up, GMC is sweetening the deal with more standard features and a serious tech upgrade. Now, the question is—will buyers see the added value or feel the sting of the higher sticker price?
