There's a new version of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson that looks very different from the standard model. It's called the "XRT," and it's made to be more sturdy than the standard version. All Tucson XRT vehicles are based on the current SEL trim with the Convenience package, but with a variety of cosmetic enhancements.

Distinctive front and rear fascias with rough details and a particularly stunning matte black finish are among the changes. Hyundai has also added new wheel arch protection and extra cladding to the rocker panels to the Tucson XRT.

There are also black wing mirrors and black 19-inch alloy wheels with a design that looks more like a clear off-road car. There are also black monotone wing mirrors and black 19-inch alloy wheels, both of which have a design that is more appropriate for an off-roader. Dark side window frames, approach lights, side steps, black fabric inside seats, a black headliner, a tow hitch, and rooftop cross rails all enhance the SUV's intimidating appearance.

Since the XRT is based on the Tucson SEL with Convenience Package, it comes standard with attributes like a hands-free smart liftgate, 10.25-inch Hyundai Digital Key, wireless charging pad, ambient interior lighting, auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dual automatic temperature control, and soft-touch door panels.

A power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a BlueLink Connected Care Package are also included. The basic 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine in the 2022 Hyundai Tucson XRT produces 187 hp at 6,100 rpm and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm. It's available with or without HTRAC all-wheel drive.

The prices for the new 2022 Hyundai Tucson SUV start at $32,625 for the front-wheel-drive and $34,125 for the all-wheel-drive, both with a $1,225 delivery charge.
