2018 Skoda Yeti — Here Are Some Details On It!
by AllAutoExperts | 17 April, 2020
The first generation of Skoda Yeti was presented to the world almost 8 years ago, so a second-gen model is a must. Rumors say that the 2018 version might be here next year and this has been confirmed by Skoda's SEO, Bernhard Maier.
Maier has stated that the successor of Yeti is already being developed and that its design fits perfectly in the brand's range. Seat Ateca and VW Tiguan will be lending plenty of details to the new model, including the power trains, the MQB platform, and the interior design.

As for the exterior, the next Yeti might look more like a crossover. The van design will be less noticeable, while the entire attitude of the car will be inspired by Kodiaq, including the thin lights and frontend. The storage space will also be increased at a capacity of over 500 liters.
The next Yeti will be powered by an engine lineup similar to the one used by the VW Group crossovers. This includes both diesel and petrol-fueled engines, from the regular 1.0 and 1.4-liter STI, 1.6 and 2.0-liter TDI, and up to a hybrid version, comprising a 1.4-liter petrol engine and an electric one. The latter is used on the current VW Tiguan GTE and delivers up to 218 hp.
Yeti will have front-wheel-drive for the entry-level trims and all-wheel-drive with double-clutch DSG for the expensive versions.
Skoda is planning on launching new Sportline and Scout versions for the 2018 Yeti after this gets presented.
