20 Lucky Owners Will Get The Race-Ready Civic Type R Arta GT

Autobacs Seven has turned Honda’s Civic Type R into a real track racer with its new Arta GT kit. It’s based on the Autobacs Seven Arta team’s Super GT race car and is limited to just twenty units.
Performance is key, and the kit looks to improve that with a reshaped front bumper, splitter, and blacked-out grille. Canards at each corner, vented wide fenders, and a new hood with vents look aggressive and help with cooling.

Flared arches and new side skirts up the sides give the Type R a wider and more planted stance. A big diffuser, new exhaust, and tall swan-neck wing at the back complete the package.

Performance upgrades include a bigger intercooler and tweaks to the two-liter turbo engine. The stock brakes are swapped for AP Racing units, and the suspension has been upgraded for sharper handling. Inside, there’s a new carbon fiber steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara with extra buttons for a more driver-focused feel.

The Arta GT kit starts at 13.5 million yen ($85,600), which is more than double that of a standard Civic Type R in Japan. It is not a car for everyone, but for fans who want a Type R that looks and handles like a proper race car, it delivers.
