Toyota Tundra vs. The World: Which Truck Reaches 250,000 Miles?

People love to argue Ford vs. Chevy when it comes to trucks. But if the question is “which one is most likely to still be running at 250,000 miles,” the answer is… Toyota Tundra.
An iSeeCars study (based on an enormous pool of vehicles) put the Toyota Tundra at the top for light-duty pickups. The site estimates the Tundra has about a 30% chance of making it past 250,000 miles, which is far higher than rivals like the Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500.

Toyota didn’t just show up once, either. It basically owned the rankings, with Toyota and Lexus filling most of the top spots overall.

One catch: the main list didn’t include heavy-duty trucks. When those are counted, the Ram 3500 takes the top spot, with an even higher likelihood of clearing 250,000 miles. The Tundra still ranks near the top, and the Tacoma also scores well.

The simple takeaway: trucks tend to last longer than most vehicles. But if someone wants to play the odds, Toyota’s pickups are hard to ignore.
