There Is No Faster eVTOL In The World Than The Alauda Airspeeder Mk4

Alauda Aeronautics has announced the launch of the crewed version of its Airspeeder Mk4 after years of remote piloting. According to the company's statement, this single-seater electric racing vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 225 mph and travel up to 180 miles on a single charge.

Its power source will be a Thunderstrike hydrogen turbogenerator that connects to electric motors located on the eVTOL wings. According to the company, the first manned competitions for the Airspeeder Mk4 will take place in 2024, following the unmanned races that were conducted with remote pilots in October 2022, which were incident-free.

The Alauda Airspeeder Mk4 aircraft will weigh 2,095 pounds without the pilot, and the company claims it will attain its top speed of 225 mph within 30 seconds. The power source will be a 1,340 hp turbogenerator, which Alauda states will allow for the use of green hydrogen as a potential fuel option.

While most eVTOLs use tilt rotors for navigation, the Mk4's thrust system is gimbaled. An AI flight controller regulates the four pairs of rotors mounted on 3D-printed gimbals, which enables more accurate steering compared to traditional rotorcraft.

CEO Matt Pearson is optimistic about the future and envisions a time when flying cars are a common sight in the sky. He predicts that once a flying car is available for purchase at the same price point as a Tesla, it will rapidly change the market. The crewed version of the Alauda Airspeeder Mk4 is scheduled to begin flight testing this quarter, following 350 test flights with the unmanned version.
