The fold-up electric-assist GoCycle is your choice number one for a quick trip if we ever go back to the monotonous long traffic jams. Or maybe during the pandemic, you became a fan of cycling and love to conquer new paths.

The first thing you will notice would be the atypical tiny wheels, sky-high seat. As its name suggests, the GoCycle is foldable and fits in most car trunks. Weighing just 38.5 pounds, you can carry it easily in an available rolling carry bag. This weight difference is a perfect variant compared to any other bigger, conventional electric bike.

Despite having a price between $4,000 and $6,000 depending on the model, they are considerably more expensive the extra money is worth it. It all comes down to the design, quality, engineering, and performance. The GoCycle has far less exposed wire harness and most of its chain and its three-speed gearset encased.

Usually, the batteries of a regular e-bike tend to be less sophisticated, with longer recharge times (only 3.5 hours with GoCycle's optional fast charger) and often shorter ranges. GoCycle’s various offerings go between 40 and 60 miles depending on the model, which is great for a fold-up bike, but admittedly the same as mainstream conventional e-bikes that cost in the mid-$1,000 range.

The GoCycle is powered by its 500-watt electric motor mounted in the front wheel hub and can reach a mandated speed limit of 20 mph (32 kmh). It feeds in electricity while you pedal and includes a throttle override. You can even choose between different amounts of motor assist - City, Eco, City Plus, and Custom modes via the GoCycle app connected to the bike via Bluetooth. The app is a clever dashboard showing speed, charge status, and gear on your phone.

It's portable even next to your desk for a charge, a friendly design, and if you are lucky enough to live in a city that embraces the Green Way streets for bikes - GoCycle is your fastest e-bike buddy on your way to work.
