Bugatti Just Built a TV That Unfolds Like a Hypercar

Bugatti has teamed up with Austrian display company C Seed to create something that sits somewhere between a luxury TV, a giant gadget, and modern art. It’s called the C Seed Bugatti N1, and it’s probably one of the most over-the-top home entertainment systems ever made.
When turned off, the N1 doesn’t even look like a television. It resembles an expensive sculptural cabinet inspired by the Bugatti Tourbillon, complete with flowing surfaces and the brand’s signature C-shaped design cues. Press a button, though, and over 45 seconds the whole thing unfolds into either a 110-inch or 137-inch 4K MicroLED screen.

The idea is similar to Bugatti’s “screen detox” philosophy used in the Tourbillon hypercar. Instead of leaving a giant black screen sitting in the middle of a room all day, the display completely disappears when it’s not being used. Honestly, it feels more like watching a mechanical performance than simply turning on a TV.

The screen itself rotates up to 180 degrees and unfolds through a complicated sliding mechanism that looks wildly unnecessary in the best possible way. Underneath all the theatrics sits some serious hardware too, including HDR10+ support, carbon-fiber details, adaptive panel calibration to hide seams between the folding sections, and an integrated Wisdom Audio sound system with speakers that extend outward during use.

Neither Bugatti nor C Seed has revealed pricing yet, which usually tells you everything you need to know. C Seed’s earlier Porsche Design folding TVs reportedly cost around $400,000, so this Bugatti version probably won’t be heading into normal living rooms anytime soon.
