With 480 HP, the 2022 Audi S3 From MTM Clubsport Is A Scream In The Alps

This Audi S3 hatchback from Motoren Technik Mayer is a blast to drive, particularly with the engine tuned for additional oomph. MTM has been able to significantly increase the performance above the 401 horsepower that comes standard on the Audi Sport model.

Apart from the unusual paint with Python Yellow and green decals, the massive front bumper spoiler and the big rear wing in carbon fiber, indicate that this is not an average Audi S3. The original wheels were replaced with MTM's own 19-inch Bimoto wheels, and the interior was changed by deleting the rear seats to create way for a roll cage.

Both the driver and the passenger are seated in Recaro Podium bucket seats that are color-matched to the dazzling body treatment. For the 2.0 TFSI, the aftermarket specialist offers four different power enhancements. Those who desire more power than the default 306 hp may upgrade to a stage 1 kit, which unlocks 360 hp thanks to software enhancements.

Stage 2 adds bespoke downpipes for an additional 20 horsepower, while stage 3's modified air intake increases the four-cylinder engine's output to 430 horsepower. MTM's stage 4 contains a heftier turbocharger that extracts 480 horsepower from the motor, allowing for a 3.2-second sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h). From a standstill, the Audi S3 Sportback will take 10.7 seconds to achieve 124 mph (200 km/h), which isn't bad.
