Brabus Turns The Mercedes G 63 Into An 888-HP Pickup For €711,718

Brabus has chopped the back off a Mercedes-AMG G 63, turned it into a pickup and squeezed 888 hp out of its V8. Meet the P 900 Rocket Edition, a limited-run machine that swaps some of the G-Class’s off-road credentials for giant wheels, carbon fiber bodywork and enough power to make the whole idea seem a little ridiculous.
The exterior leaves little of the original G 63 untouched. Brabus has lowered the suspension by 1.8 inches and fitted 24-inch wheels with black spokes and carbon fiber details.

The front gets a new bumper with larger air intakes, a black grille with an illuminated emblem, and a redesigned hood. Wide carbon fiber wheel arches, glowing red exhaust tips, and a matte-black sports bar above the cargo bed complete the makeover. Muddy trails probably aren’t where these wheels will spend most of their time.
Brabus has turned the back of the G-Wagon into a pickup bed, with a metal floor and tailgate, carbon fiber sides, and a steel divider behind the seats. We don't know how much the bed can carry, but let’s be honest, most owners will probably use it to show off rather than haul anything heavy.

Under the hood, the twin-turbo V8 has grown from 4.0 to 4.4 liters. Brabus adds forged pistons, a custom crankshaft, larger turbochargers, and upgraded fuel and exhaust systems. The result is 888 hp and 922 lb-ft of torque. To protect the transmission, torque is limited to 774 lb-ft. Brabus says the truck reaches 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds, although it hasn’t disclosed its weight.
The cabin gets leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber trim, and red stitching, with matching red details on the air vents, door handles, and speaker grilles. The doors have also been modified to open up to 90 degrees.

Brabus will build only 10 P 900 Rocket Editions. The example shown costs €711,718 (around $796,805), before extra personalization.
