Volkswagen’s Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo Concept Is A Crazy Idea Turned Way Too Beautiful!

When you want to get amazed by an automaker, and I mean in a crazy way, Volkswagen is your number one choice. Besides his great cars that we meet on the market, VW USA has one particular rule in the house - handing one of its cars off to a tuner and lets them go nuts. Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo is just the last of their many concepts.

The concept is having its name after Denver, Colorado’s Riverside North arts district, while the concept itself is inspired by the city’s outdoorsy, adventurous spirit. Also, it's the fantastic work of Jamie Orr, of Orchid Euro, the Tiguan Black RiNo is designed with cycling in mind. “The mountain bike is designed to function in difficult terrain, but it works well in any environment — just like the Tiguan,” said Orr. “The idea is that this vehicle is capable of going on adventures with you.”

As Orr mentioned before, the Tiguan Black RiNo features a bike rack designed to carry around a mountain bike. Meanwhile, the dock and hook Volswagen accessory has been repurposed to handle bicycle locks and helmets in the cargo area. In the case of a flat tire, the tuner already included an air compressor and a LED lightbar for easy repairs. Also, the Tiguan’s has now a Black Forest Industries instead of the original shift knob and boot.

The cycling-focused modifications are lesser since Orr made the Tiguan Black RiNo with 20-inch Rotiform OZR rims wrapped in Continental SpotContact 5P tires. Under the Tiguan, you get custom Borla stainless steel pipes with black tips matching the rest of the vehicle and an extended factory spoiler. You also got the 6-piston Big Brake Kit calipers that grab Forge Motorsport USA rotors to help you slow down when you feel the need.

According to Orr, he wanted to highlight the strong body lines and design cues of the Tiguan. “When people see both its style and its strong performance, I think they’ll see why it’s a great car that’s capable of a trip to the mountains or to the grocery store,” said Orr.
