Venuum Turned The Mercedes G-Class Into A Wild Four-Door Convertible
by AutoExpert | 9 June, 2026
Mercedes-Benz is still working on its own G-Class Cabriolet, but Venuum clearly got impatient and built one first. The result is called the Mastodon V4, and it takes the already attention-hungry G-Wagen into a completely different territory.
This goes far beyond a simple roof chop. Venuum appears to have reworked nearly every exterior panel on the G-Class. The front end now wears a huge forged-carbon bumper, a custom hood, different headlights, and a much more aggressive grille. It barely looks factory anymore.

Things don’t calm down along the sides either. There are massive wheels, oversized forged-carbon fender flares, and deep side skirts that make the SUV look wider and lower than a regular G-Class. Somehow, it still keeps four doors, even though the proportions almost make it look like a shortened custom build.

Of course, the biggest change is at the back, where the roof has disappeared completely. Venuum says there’s a fabric top that can cover the rear seats when needed, though so far the company has only shown the SUV fully open. Inside, Venuum's Mercedes G-Class gets yellow-and-black leather along with even more forged carbon fiber, including a custom rear center console.

Venuum hasn’t said how many Mastodon V4s it plans to build, only confirming production will be limited.
