This Toyota Yaris Thinks It's A Jaguar; Meet The Mitsuoka Viewt Royal Edition

Some cars are built to go unnoticed, blending into traffic with quiet efficiency. The Mitsuoka Viewt is the exact opposite. It’s proudly eccentric, nostalgic, and now it’s getting a fresh dose of character with the new Royal Edition.
Based on the latest Toyota Yaris platform, the Mitsuoka Viewt Royal Edition still looks like something straight out of the 1960s. Its styling is a love letter to the classic Jaguar Mk2, complete with chrome bumpers, a retro front grille, and those unmistakable round headlights.

The Royal Edition builds on that charm with three new colors: Royal Green, Royal Red, and Royal White. There's also a special rear badge, just in case anyone wasn’t already doing a double take.
Inside, every Mitsuoka Viewt Royal Edition gets the same interior treatment. You’ll find Royal Brown synthetic leather on the seats, door panels, and lower dashboard. It even features a tiny Union Jack on the seats, a playful wink to its British design inspiration.

Underneath all the quirky styling, it’s still very much a Yaris. That means you can choose between a 1.0-liter or 1.5-liter petrol engine or go for the 1.5-liter hybrid. The smaller engine comes with front-wheel drive and a CVT, while the larger one offers both manual and automatic options, along with available all-wheel drive. The hybrid version can also be had with either two or four driven wheels.

Mitsuoka is accepting orders for the Viewt Royal Edition until December 21 but hasn’t said how many will be made. Prices start at about $26,300 and can climb to just over $35,000 depending on the configuration.
