Japan-based company Direct Cars has created the BR75 SUV Adventure Camper, which is a camper conversion based on the Toyota Hilux pickup truck. This camper offers an alternative to the traditional motorhome and van-built camper conversions.

The BR75 Adventure Camper from Direct Cars enhances the Toyota Hilux dual-cab pickup by replacing the rear bed with a larger structure that has a longer rear overhang and an aerodynamic extension above the cabin.

Despite this change, the Toyota Hilux GR Sport camper can still accommodate five passengers and provides sleeping arrangements for two adults and two children at the back. The rear addition to the Toyota Hilux in the BR75 Adventure Camper has a seamless design and matches well with the GR Sport trim of the donor vehicle.

A unique feature of this camper is the ability to access the living area from both the side door and the large tailgate, as well as from the cabin of the vehicle. This allows for easy movement between the living area and the cab without having to exit the vehicle, which is particularly useful in inclement weather or at night.

Stepping inside the rear compartment of the BR75 Adventure Camper, one is greeted with a luxurious atmosphere created by the wooden panels, tile-style flooring, and interior lighting. The central feature is a spacious dining area with a foldable table and two benches for seating. The pop-up roof provides additional natural light and allows for standing room inside the camper.

The living area of the BR75 is equipped with a full-size home air conditioning system, which allows users to regulate the temperature inside. The external unit of the air conditioning is conveniently located under the rear bumper.

All the camper's amenities can be controlled using a tablet-style touch panel. The BR75 Adventure Camper also features a second room at the back with a shower head, a waterproof floor with a drain, a sink, a mirror, a slide-out counter table, and additional storage compartments.

Direct Cars offers two variants of the BR75 Adventure Camper. The most affordable option is based on the Toyota Hilux Z and starts at ¥10,980,000 ($83,931). The full-spec model, based on the Toyota Hilux GR Sport, is priced at ¥12,450,000 ($95,121). The prices mentioned above can be higher if optional features such as off-road wheels and tires are added.
