The Rezvani Retro RR1 Is An Ode To Porsche's Golden Era

Rezvani is testing the waters with a vintage Porsche. Now fans can have a Porsche 911 from the 992-generation repainted in a vintage style and given a performance boost. Meet the Rezvani Retro RR1, which comes in three different power levels (550, 600, and 750 horsepower). Based on the 935 Kremer racing cars from the late 1970s, all RR1s receive a new carbon fiber body, which is noticeable with the new front fascia.

In place of the classic oval headlamps, Rezvani presents a novel take on the slant nose hood that resembles the Taycan's narrow rectangular headlights. The 911 Carrera S, GT3, and Turbo S are the available bases for purchasers to choose from.

The RR1 550, an entry-level model, produces 550 horsepower for track use and 520 horsepower for street use thanks to the Carrera's enhanced 3.0-liter engine. The RR 565, based on the GT3, has 535 horsepower on the road and 565 hp on the track thanks to certain unnamed modifications made to its 4.0-liter flat-six engine. The RR1 750, on the other hand, produces—you got it—750 horsepower in track tune.

With 715 horsepower available, the street variants of the Turbo send power to the ground via the basic all-wheel-drive system. Lightweight polycarbonate windows, roll cages, racing harnesses, brakes, and suspension are all available as optional upgrades for any version. The outside may also be customized with classic livery, although the possibilities can become expensive.

Just so we're clear, Rezvani puts the RR1's starting price at $149,000. Of course, it doesn't account for the donor chassis. The company also claims that the first price is only an introductory one and that it will increase after the first five purchases. Rezvani has already started the production, and shipments are scheduled for later this year. Total production will be limited to 50 units.
