The Inkas Armored Ram 1500 Blends In But Stands Strong

Inkas has redefined what it means to drive a discreet yet fortified vehicle with its new Armored Ram 1500. Unlike most armored trucks that stand out, this Ram blends right into everyday traffic, hiding its reinforced defenses behind a familiar Ram 1500 face.

Powering the truck is an inline-6 engine with twin turbochargers, delivering a solid 420 horsepower to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Underneath, though, it’s anything but ordinary.

What appear to be standard wheels actually house polycarbonate inserts, creating a military-grade run-flat system that can handle rough situations. Armoring the fuel tank, battery, and ECM ensures the shielding of critical components. For buyers who want extra durability, heavy-duty wheels are also available.

For protection, Inkas has equipped this Ram with 360-degree armor, including multi-layered ballistic glass, reinforced doors, and a fully armored firewall. The truck’s door seams have an overlap design to prevent projectiles from slipping through any gaps, and even the driver’s window retains its operability. All windows can be made operable on request while still offering protection from rifle fire and grenades.

In addition to these baseline features, Inkas offers several upgrades for enhanced safety and functionality, such as a roof escape hatch, an oxygen filtration system, and a blackout package. Starting around $120,000, the Inkas Armored Ram 1500 isn’t just another armored vehicle—it’s a powerful blend of resilience and subtlety, ideal for those who need top-tier protection without drawing attention.
