Once known for its sheer size and power, the Ford Excursion has found a new form in MegaRexx's SVN, a modern interpretation that retains the original's bold spirit.
The transformation begins with a 2023 F-250 Super Duty, meticulously crafted into a distinctive SUV that stands out with custom side glass and a hand-made aluminum roof, not to mention the twin-panel panoramic moonroof.
The SVN's allure is heightened by practical touches like auxiliary lights, power side steps, and robust bumpers.
It makes a formidable presence on the road with Bushwacker fender flares and matte black 18-inch wheels, all complemented by a 4.5-inch lift courtesy of an Icon Vehicle Dynamics suspension system.
Inside, the SVN is a haven of luxury and space, comfortably accommodating up to nine passengers across its ventilated seats and captain's chairs, with a power-folding bench in the back borrowed from the Expedition.
To enhance the ride, a second climate control system from Vintage Air has been installed, alongside additional speakers and a subwoofer for an enriched audio experience.
Performance-wise, the SVN doesn't disappoint. Underneath the hood is a turbocharged 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine delivering 500 HP and an astonishing 1,200 lb-ft of torque, paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
While MegaRexx hasn't revealed the price, given the extensive modifications and the base vehicle's value, this transformed SUV is expected to command a premium, offering a unique blend of classic Excursion ruggedness and contemporary luxury.
