Rather than stop there, Brabus created a non-street legal vehicle specifically for crossing the desert. The Brabus 900 Crawler will be constructed in a restricted number of 15 vehicles and will cost €891,310 each.

The Brabus Crawler shares aesthetic cues with the Mercedes G-Class on the outside, although only the LED lighting modules are real parts of the vehicle. A new carbon-fiber exterior and a custom ladder-frame chassis make up the complete vehicle.

The inside of the Crawler is completely open, with no doors or windows. For further security, a red-painted steel tube frame is incorporated. Ground clearance of 20.9 inches is the Crawler's most striking characteristic. Heavy-duty Maxxis Razr off-road rubber is placed on the 20-inch Brabus Monoblock HD forged rims, which also include a full-size spare wheel.

A substantially modified version of the AMG-sourced motor that has been commonly employed in the Brabus 900 series can be found under the hood. In this configuration, the twin-turbo 4.5-liter V8 engine develops 888 horsepower and 922 lb-ft of torque, although it is restricted to 774 lb-ft. A nine-speed automatic transmission with locking differentials sends power to all four wheels.

All of this power allows the vehicle to go from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds. However, the Crawler's peak speed is electronically capped at 99 mph. The first Brabus 900 Crawler has been completed and is now available for purchase.
