At the 2023 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California, attendees had the opportunity to see a new vehicle designed by Sean Smith. This event is well-known for displaying impressive custom roadsters and hot rods.

For those who didn’t know, Sean Smith is a seasoned vehicle designer with over two decades of experience in the automotive industry. He has worked with renowned companies such as Saleen Automotive, Rockstar Games, SpeedKore, and many others.

Michael Shields, a car owner, commissioned Smith to develop a unique 1969 Chevrolet Camaro to compete with another Camaro designed by Smith that was presented at the 2019 SEMA Show. The outcome of this project is the Fenix, a luxurious and elegant supercharged Chevy Camaro with a power output of 1,180 horsepower.

The team behind the build, led by Mikey Dascoli at Driven Speed Shop, collaborated virtually with Sean Smith to make his design a reality. The Fenix Camaro is powered by a supercharged 427 LS7 V8 engine built by Wegner Motorsports and paired with a Tremec T56 six-speed transmission. As for the interior, it was designed by Sean Smith with inspiration from European sports cars. Specifically, the dash, door panels, and center console were precisely crafted from 3D CAD files.

The body was painted in a captivating silver with liquid champagne and satin charcoal gray accents to achieve a classic and eye-catching look. Smith and his team also redesigned the front end of the car, creating a new front valance and bumpers.

The rear end also received updates, including a custom light panel and 3D-printed trunk spoiler, to enhance the car's appearance. The body was carefully refined for a flawless fit, and the vehicle was mounted on a Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis.
