This Might Be the Wildest Porsche 911 GT3 RS Restomod Yet

Porsche owners have never lacked options when it comes to making a 911 more special. Talos, a small British firm, believes it has taken that idea further than most.
Its creation is called the 911 RT, a limited-run restomod based on the 992-generation 911 GT3 RS and heavily influenced by Porsche’s 911 GT3 R race car. Only 20 examples will be built, each starting at £850,000 ($1.13 million), and that price does not include the donor vehicle.

The changes go well beyond a typical body kit. Working with MCT Carbon, the company behind components for the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Talos developed a completely new carbon-fiber body. The 911 RT sits wider than a standard GT3 RS and features a bespoke front splitter, reshaped air intakes, a hood with NACA ducts, enlarged rear arches, center-lock wheels, and an enormous rear wing and diffuser. The extensive use of carbon fiber reduces the weight to 2,976 lbs, around 176 lbs less than the GT3 RS.

The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six has been tuned to deliver 540 hp and 339 lb-ft (460 Nm) of torque. Buyers looking for even more performance can opt for a turbo upgrade. Talos also fits bespoke Öhlins TTX coilovers, while the cabin can be tailored with custom materials, colors, and finishes inspired by Porsche’s own GT3 RS.

At this price point, the Talos Porsche 911 RT is aimed at a very small audience. But with just 20 cars planned and a specification that blends race-car inspiration with near-unlimited personalization, Talos is offering something even the most exclusive Porsche models cannot: true rarity.
