Toyota Corolla Turns 60 With A Special Edition For Europe
by AutoExpert | 27 August, 2026
The Toyota Corolla has been around since 1966, and 60 years later, Toyota is still finding ways to celebrate it. Europe now gets its own 60th Anniversary edition, covering the hatchback, Touring Sports and sedan.
The hatchback and Touring Sports get Boreal Blue Metallic with a Night Sky Black roof and pillars. The sedan uses Lunar Sky Blue instead. Platinum White Pearl and Ash Grey are also available. All three versions get 17-inch ten-spoke wheels, dark chrome wheel nuts, matte silver exterior details, dark-plated fog light trim, and 60th Anniversary decals on the rear doors.

Inside, Toyota keeps things simple with matte silver door sills carrying the anniversary logo and black floor mats with silver piping. The equipment list includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.5-inch infotainment screen, and the Toyota T-Mate and Safety Sense driver-assistance systems.

The European Corolla keeps its self-charging hybrid powertrains. The 1.8-liter produces 138 hp, while the 2.0-liter makes 176 hp. The sedan gets only the 1.8-liter. Toyota builds the hatchback and Touring Sports in the UK, while Turkey handles sedan production.
Orders are open now, with deliveries starting at the end of October. After more than 57 million Corollas sold since 1966, the current 11th-generation model is nearing the end of its run, with a new generation expected in 2027.
