Suzuki Hustler Goes From Kei Car Charm To Rugged Transformation

It's not news that the Suzuki Hustler is often a creative canvas for tuners seeking rugged transformations. Following Damd's tiny Jeep rendition, Vrarva steps in with its urban special forces-inspired creation, the Vrarva IO.

It builds upon the Suzuki Hustler's quirky design, shedding Suzuki emblems and adding a robust 9-piece body kit that maintains the car's distinctive features.

The Vrarva IO features a new grille, a subtly redesigned bumper, and a custom hood with angular bumps above its round headlights. The rear end receives a similar treatment, with plastic add-ons on the tailgate and bumper.

Thick fender extensions, additional protective strips, and a heightened suspension contribute to its tough stance. You can also see beautiful 15-inch wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country tires for enhanced grip on various surfaces. Inside, the tuner offers the option of re-upholstered seats to elevate the premium feel of the interior.

This rendition of the IO is based on the second-generation Suzuki Hustler Hybrid G 2WD, maintaining the stock turbocharged 658cc three-cylinder engine with 63 hp and an additional 2 hp from the mild hybrid system. Power is delivered through a CVT automatic transmission to the front wheels. As a complete vehicle, the Vrarva IO commands a price tag of ¥2,490,000 ($17,362).

Alternatively, for existing Suzuki Hustler owners, the upgrade cost stands at a substantial ¥1,356,300 ($14,007). Regrettably, like many kei cars, the Suzuki Hustler remains confined to the Japanese market, limiting its availability outside the country.
