Students Create Two-Door Coupe Version Of Toyota Prius

At the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon, a group of students stole the show by transforming a two-door version of the latest Toyota Prius. Despite the lack of demand for a two-door Prius, these creative minds from the Gunma Automobile College (GAUS) used a Honda Integra as their base to make it happen.

They performed some serious surgery on the fourth-gen Integra, fitting in authentic Prius components like LED headlamps and reshaping the front end to capture the sharp look of the Toyota hybrid's nose.

The transformation didn't stop there. They added a widebody fender kit, custom side skirts, an integrated trunk spoiler, Lexus IS350 taillights, and a custom rear bumper for that extra flair. Inside, the custom Integra boasts Recaro seats, Brembo brakes, a Rosso Modello exhaust system, a Momo steering wheel, a Diecock sound system, and a central touchscreen made from an iPad.

Keeping the mostly stock K20A inline-4 engine but with an ECU tune, this custom creation packs a punch with 216 horsepower. Thanks to a Ploom air suspension system and 18-inch Work Meister wheels filling those custom wheel arches, it's a blend of style and performance.
