Customers of older Porsche Boxster models are still getting new ways to customize their vehicles even though the model is in its 4th generation. With the aid of 3D-artist Mag Works, Miles Works Automotive has produced a widebody modification for the original Boxster (1996-2004) with a speedster-style tail.

It all starts with a new front bumper with 996 Turbo-style air inlets and an eye-catching carbon-fiber splitter. Along with the tracks, the front and back fenders have been dramatically enlarged, and a set of custom five-spoke wheels has been fitted with bigger tires.

The bigger fenders join a supercar-style bumper with incorporated intakes and a reworked diffuser holding the dual exhaust pipes in the tail, which is the conversion's trademark piece. In addition, the rear deck has been replaced with a speedster-style cover, as seen on the Porsche 718 Spyder flagship. However, the design is considerably more severe in this Porsche Boxster, resulting in a duck-tail rear spoiler.

Similar to the GT1 Strassenversion from the late 1990s or the more contemporary 935 Clubsport, the factory taillights and bumper are disguised in a depression produced by the extra pieces. Basically, just the bonnet, the lighting components, the doors, and the windscreen are exposed. Given the substantial changes, the boot and trunk still function normally, albeit the retractable fabric roof is a question mark.

Porsche Boxster's interior features deep red racing bucket seats to complement its unique appearance. The photos seen here are just renderings, but the business plans to create and sell the bodykit. At this time, according to Johny Fargas, who is working on a customized Boxster, the kit will cost €4,000 (about $4,500) before tax and delivery.
