TechArt, a German tuner specializing in Porsches, is well-known for its extensive selection of upgrades. A police car built in partnership with the "TUNE IT! SAFE!” campaign is still a Porsche, but it's a special Porsche 911 Targa.

The "TUNE IT! SAFE!" campaign, coordinated by the German Association of Automobile Tuners (VDAT) started in 2005 under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMVI), to combat unlawful and dangerous tuning.

Porsche 911 Targa 4 of the current 992 generation serves as the foundation for the Techart Cabriolet. Aside from the "Polizei" livery, which has blue, yellow, and silver hues with reflecting markings, this one-of-a-kind Porsche also features a roof-mounted police light and additional LED lights on the carbon-fiber hood.

Techart's Aerokit, which comprises a front splitter, airframes, side skirts, rear diffuser, and a relatively subtle back spoiler, is also installed on the car. Together with the Techart emblems that have replaced the previous Porsche writing, a pair of Techart Formula V multi-spoke wheels finished in dark with striking yellow highlights fulfills the cosmetic modificationsof this Porsche 911 Targa.

Techart didn't specify any technical alterations to the twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six motor, which delivers 380 hp (283 kW / 385 PS) and 331 lb-ft (450 Nm) in the regular 911 Targa 4. However, a new set of Sport Springs has been fitted, which lowers the ride height by 40 mm (1.6 inches) for improved driving dynamics.

The 911's interior boasts Techart's handmade sports steering wheel with perforated leather upholstery. The armrests, doors, center console, and sections of the back seat are all made of the same material. On the center console, there is also an additional control panel for controlling the lights and siren. Until December 5, the Techart Porsche 911 Targa 4 will be on display at the Essen Motor Show in Germany.
