PaxPower, a tuning specialist known for its formidable truck modifications, has introduced a formidable Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 variant. It steps in to compete against the Ford F-150 Raptor R and Ram 1500 TRX, offering an exciting alternative for performance truck enthusiasts.

Without a direct rival from Chevrolet to compete with Ford and Ram, PaxPower has engineered the ultimate Silverado ZR2 variant, effectively positioning itself as a worthy competitor.

The bodywork of the Silverado ZR2 receives notable modifications, beginning with 4-inch wider flared arches than the standard. PaxPower’s attention then shifts to the suspension, where it installs extended steel upper- and lower-control arms, also elevating the truck 2 inches higher than its factory height. These modifications grant the reimagined ZR2, aptly named the Jackal, approximately 12 inches of front travel with additional unspecified rear suspension travel.

All Jackal models are finished with a set of 17-inch off-road wheels, with both 35×12.5 and 37×12.5-inch tire options.

The Jackal's heart is its modified engine. PaxPower pairs the Silverado ZR2’s standard unit with a dual exhaust system from Borla. For those desiring more power, the 6.2-liter V8 can be equipped with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, running at 6 psi of boost. This upgrade propels the standard 420 hp to an impressive 650 horsepower, with torque also increasing from 460 lb-ft (610 Nm) to 650 lb-ft (881 Nm). The supercharger also comes with a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty, providing additional peace of mind for Jackal owners.

PaxPower's standard Jackal package, which includes all visual updates, off-road components, and Borla exhaust, is priced at $19,950. The supercharger upgrade costs an additional $15,450. As Chevy Silverado ZR2s can often be found for less than $70,000, the fully-upgraded Jackal comes with a price tag of around $105,000.
