The E-Tense 250 is a new addition to the DS 9 series from DS, which adds additional power and range to the FWD DS 9, as well as reduces CO2 emissions. A PureTech four-cylinder engine with 197 hp (200 PS/145 kW) is combined with a 107 hp (109 PS/80 kW) electric engine.

The latter is potent enough to propel the DS 9 to a top speed of 135 km/h (84 mph) using just electricity. However, with the motor, it can reach a peak speed of 240 km/h  (149 mph), which is electronically limited.

According to the WLTP test cycle, the motor is powered by a revised 15.6 kWh battery that has the same number of cells as the DS 9 E-Tense 225, but permits the DS 9 E-Tense 250 to travel 70 km (43 miles) in the city and 61 km (38 miles) in combined driving circumstances.

The DS 9 E-Tense 250 emits just 26g/km of CO2 and consumes just 1.1 liter/100 km (214 mpg) of fuel, according to the same testing cycle. Performance Line + and Rivoli + are the two trim options available for the DS 9 E-Tense 250.

The first has a black Alcantara upholstery with gold stitching, as well as DS Performance Line insignia on the front doors, DS Wings, and a chrome trunk strip. The 19-inch alloy wheels are complemented with a gloss black grille with a DS Performance Line emblem.

The Rivoli+, on the other hand, is influenced by the Tuileries region of Paris and has diamond-shaped premium trim in three different combinations. The concentration of this trim is on high-quality materials, and all is covered in leather. At current exchange rates, the Performance Line + costs $65,620 USD in France, while the Rivoli + costs $68,901 USD.
