Mitsuoka Orochi With Liberty Walk Body Kit Seems Pretty Crazy

Mitsuoka Orochi, which was discontinued in 2014, is still one of the strangest-looking automobiles ever made by a car manufacturer. A wild-looking model of this strange sports coupe with a widebody package from Liberty Walk will be shown at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon by Japanese aftermarket headlight maker Sphere Light.

The Liberty Walk body package adds a front splitter under the bumper intake, compared to a normal Orochi. The low-slung vehicle's sides are widened by large fender flares, and side sills run to the wider sections at the rear axle.  A large wing connects to the bumper, and the original single pipe on either side is replaced with a pair of twin black pipes.

This Mitsuoka Orochi sports a racing-inspired color pattern with a white front and a yellow lightning-bolt-shaped stripe running down the sides and back. There are several stickers for different brands strewn across the body. Sphere Light's bulbs are used in the headlights to advertise the company's goods.

There are currently no photographs of the cabin available. The Orochi comes standard with two bolstered sport seats. The operator is seated behind a three-spoke steering wheel, staring at huge analog instruments.

There are no indications that this Mitsuoka Orochi will have any powertrain changes. The model's original motor is a Toyota 3MZ-FE 3.3-liter V6 seen in early-2000s Toyota products such as the Sienna minivan, Camry, Lexus RX 330, and others. 231 hp (172 kW) and 242 lb-ft (328 Nm) of torque are produced by the mid-mounted mill. The Mitsuoka had just one gearbox option: a five-speed automatic that drove the rear wheels.
