Mini Porsche Madness: StanceMagic's Daihatsu Copen Coperche 811 GT-K At Tokyo Auto Salon

A group of Japanese car enthusiasts just pulled off something pretty incredible. They took a used Daihatsu Copen and transformed it into a mini Porsche 911, all with the help of some clever fiberglass work. This one-off creation, named the Coperche 811 GT-K, turned heads at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon last weekend.

StanceMagic, a Japanese company known for its custom alloy wheels, put together the project, but this time they really outdid themselves. The Copen isn’t exactly the obvious choice for a Porsche-inspired build—after all, it’s a front-engine, front-wheel-drive car. But somehow, they made it work.

The exterior is where the real magic happens. Aside from the windshield, doors, mirrors, and A-pillars, everything else was completely reworked to give the car that iconic 911 look. Custom fiberglass panels made for wider fenders, new bumpers, and a whole new rear and roofline.

The front end now has those signature 997-style headlights and GT3-style intakes, while the back is equipped with real Porsche 996 taillights, a huge rear wing, and a big diffuser with dual tailpipes. They even added some vents that look cool, even if they don’t do much in terms of airflow.

Inside, the Coperche 811 GT-K keeps things race-inspired with bucket seats, a roll cage, and suede upholstery with red accents scattered around the dashboard. The bodywork is wrapped in a livery that channels the Porsche 911 RSR Le Mans racecar, giving the whole thing an even more motorsport vibe. Racing tires wrap the custom wheels from StanceMagic, and the car sits lower with upgraded brakes to match.Daihatsu Copen

Powering the Coperche is a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. While it may not surpass Porsche-level performance, the 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine is a significant improvement over the original 660cc engine used by the Copen to comply with kei car regulations.

The Coperche 811 GT-K will likely remain a one-off, but if you’re really keen on the idea, there are Porsche-style body kits for the Daihatsu Copen you can buy online. It's a quirky little homage to Porsche, wrapped up in the smallest of packages.
