Mercedes C 63 S Gets A V8 Comeback With Vuk EVOlution X Tuning
by AutoExpert | 18 August, 2025
When Mercedes-AMG downsized the latest C 63 S to a four-cylinder hybrid, plenty of fans felt something was missing. The performance figures were impressive, but the soundtrack and character of the old V8 were gone. Vuk Manufactur, a small German tuner, decided not to accept that reality and went ahead to fix it in their own way.
Their answer is called the EVOlution X, a reimagined Mercedes C 63 S that puts a twin-turbo V8 back under the hood. That move alone makes it stand out, but Vuk went further by creating a body kit inspired by one of Mercedes’ all-time icons, the 190E Evo II.

The exterior is a dramatic reinterpretation of the current C-Class. At the front sits a large splitter supported by bracing rods. The fenders have been widened front and rear, giving the car a much more aggressive stance. Black six-spoke wheels and new side skirts tie the look together, while the rear is dominated by a towering wing, a fresh diffuser, and bespoke badging.

The V8 gives the car the kind of presence and character many enthusiasts believe AMG lost with the hybrid setup. The EVOlution X looks and feels like the kind of car that belongs on a touring car grid, snarling with attitude.

Production will be limited to 63 units. Vuk has not confirmed how many of those will feature the full EVOlution X package, and pricing details are still under wraps. What is certain is that this will not be the affordable route back into a V8-powered AMG. Instead, it is for the few who want their C 63 to have the sound, the spirit, and the old-school bite that made the badge famous.
