Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster Upgraded By Posaidon With 880 HP

Posaidon has made a reputation for itself by modifying numerous Mercedes-AMG models, and its current effort is based on the GT R Roadster.

The tuner claims it was prompted to enhance the GT R Roadster because the AMG GT range is now capped off by the 720 hp Black Series, which isn't available in Roadster form. So, if you already own a GT R Roadster just want to get the same straight-line power as the Black Series, this is the solution.

The RS 830+ package on the open-top sports car produces an incredible 880 hp and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Two new ball-bearing turbochargers, forged high-performance pistons, a sports air filter, enhanced fuel pumps, and greater spark plugs were installed by Posaidon to accomplish these results.

The RS 830+ kit also features new exhaust manifolds and downpipes with sports catalytic converters, as well as ECU tweaks. GT R Roadster can now accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 secs and reach a max speed of 224 km/h (360 km/h). The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox has also been modified to cope with the increased power.

Posaidon also provides an 830 hp and 700 lb-ft (950 Nm) package for individuals who want more power from their Mercedes-AMG GT R but don't want the entire 880 hp and 737 lb-ft. A package with the regular turbochargers is also available, with 780 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque (850 Nm). Also, there is a minor ECU modification that boosts the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8's power to 670 horses and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm).
