Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe Gets Brabus' 789 HP Treat

The 800 SUV Coupe, which is a finely modified version of the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ Coupe, was unveiled by Brabus. The variant closely mirrors the power of the standard Brabus GLE 63 S SUV, but with up to 789 hp and a sportier tail shape. The mild-hybrid twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine produces 789 hp (588 kW / 800 PS) and 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque under the hood.

The Brabus PowerXtra control system and redesigned turbos with a larger compression unit, a reworked core assembly, and stronger axial bearings provide a gain of 186 hp (138 kW / 188 PS) and 150 Nm (111 lb-ft) over the standard version. If this is too excessive, you can choose the standalone software modifications, which add 87 hp (64.7 kW / 88 PS) to the original 603 hp (450 kW / 612 PS).

The 4MATIC+ system transmits power to all four wheels using a 9-speed automatic transmission in all settings. The 789 hp version sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 3.4 seconds, with a max speed of 280 km/h (174 mph), which is impressive for a 2.3-ton SUV. Brabus kept things simple with a range of exposed-carbon additions that complement the basic AMG body kit and are available in high-gloss or matt finishes.

The revised frontal grille with the Brabus logo, as well as extra bits and pieces like the aero fins on the big intakes, fender add-ons, diffuser inserts, and rear spoiler extension, make it evident that this GLE isn't factory. The 23-inch forged wheels are undoubtedly the most eye-catching aspect, with Brabus providing up to 24-inches shod in premium tires from Continental, Pirelli, or Yokohama.

A control module for the Airmatic air suspension lowers the SUV by 25 mm (1 inch), increasing the aggressive stance and decreasing the center of mass. The innovative stainless exhaust system features four 90 mm titanium or carbon tailpipes at the rear.

While in Sport mode, the constantly regulated exhaust flaps produce a more angular sound, while in Comfort mode, they produce a "gentle whisper." The turbos' sound has also been enhanced, with a louder blow-off boom at lift-off. Finally, Brabus offers exquisite leather and Alcantara interior upholstery in whatever color is wanted, as well as a variety of accessories such as aluminum pedals, new paddle shifters, and LED scuff plates that match the illumination color.

If you want to buy a Brabus 800 SUV Coupe, you can either order it as a whole vehicle or use your existing Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe as a foundation for the conversion. For the customer's peace of mind, Brabus is providing a three-year or 100,000 km (62,000 miles) tuning warranty.

The price has not been revealed, but we expect it to be equivalent to the €299,005 ($352,700) Brabus 800 based on the standard GLE 63 S. This is significantly higher than the $116,000 base price of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe.
