A throwback offroader based on the 1980s Dakar-winning Porsche 959 supercar, the Marc Philipp Gemballa Marsien is set to be released this year. Marc Philipp Gemballa is the son of renowned Porsche tuner Uwe Gemballa, and this is the company's debut vehicle.

The Porsche 911 Marsien off-roader is built on the current-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S and includes Porsche's famous 3.8-liter flat-six motor, which has been tweaked by RUF to generate 750 horsepower and 686 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds.

With the help of upgraded turbochargers and improved ECU mapping, a "second stage" improvement is also possible that boosts the output to 830 horsepower. Even with a custom-designed titanium exhaust system, according to Marc Philipp Gemballa, the engine nevertheless complies with the latest Euro 6 emissions rules.

Furthermore, KW Automotive installed a completely designed double-wishbone suspension with solid piston dampers and sophisticated damper management that react in 20 milliseconds.  The gearbox was also tweaked to deliver more steady power to all four wheels, which are center-locking forged aluminum units with Michelin Ultra-High-Performance tires.

The outside is totally constructed of carbon fiber, whereas the interior is primarily made of Alcantara, however, the brand claims that full customization is possible. Porsche 911 Marsien will be homologated for use in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.

Only 40 of the vehicles will be built, with 10 being reserved before the vehicle was revealed to the public. The car is nearly sold out, with deliveries set to begin later this year. Prices for the upgrade in Germany start at €495,000 (about $528,000), and you'll need to bring a 911 Turbo S donor car.
