Manhart Gives Mercedes-AMG E63 S Supercar Traits

Manhart is known for tuning BMWs, but the Wuppertal-based firm just got its hooks on a Mercedes-AMG E63 S, giving it supercar-level power. The Manhart ER 800 will be limited to 5 units, making it a direct competitor to the BMW M5-based MH5 800.

The photos show a pre-facelift E63 S, although the same modifications might be applied to the facelifted vehicle. After all, both cars share an AMG twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. AMG Speedshift nine-speed dual-clutch gearbox and 4MATIC+ system distribute power to all four wheels.

After remapping the ECU and upgrading turbochargers, the power has grown to 798-hp (595 kW / 809 PS) and torque to 1,070Nm (789 lb-ft). Manhart also modified the brakes with 405 mm (15.9 inches) carbon-ceramic discs upfront to effectively manage the power.

They also reduced the air suspension by 20 to 30 mm (0.79 to 1.18 inches) using new coupling rods or software. Manhart gave the Mercedes-AMG E63 S golden accents to mix with the black bodywork and distinctive black grille. The livery is complemented by matte black 21-inch Classic Line rims wrapped in 255/30 ZR21 front and 295/25 ZR21 rear performance tires.

The motor performance package costs €17,999 ($21,108) and the carbon intake extra €4,630 ($5,430). Since Manhart also offers cheaper solutions for less strength, this applies to the entire 798-hp (595 kW / 809 PS). Aside from the exhaust system, you'll pay €8,499 ($9,968) for downpipes and €700 ($821) for carbon or ceramic tailpipes.

Sportier rims cost €8,200 ($9,614), decals €999 ($1,172), black grille surround €595, and decreasing the air suspension €355. The inside features Manhart floor mats for €178 ($208) and a Starlight headliner for €1,990 ($2,333).
