Luxury On 30-Inch Wheels: Audi Q8 Gets A Bold Makeover In Fort Lauderdale

Coast to Coast Customs in Fort Lauderdale is no stranger to wild requests, but when an Audi Q8 owner came in wanting more flair for their already-modified SUV, the custom shop knew it had to go big—literally. The owner’s Q8 was already rolling on 26-inch wheels, which are no small feat in themselves, but they wanted something even flashier.

So, Coast to Coast took things to the next level, designing a custom set of 30-inch wheels for the luxury SUV. The result is a head-turning, chrome-adorned behemoth. The massive wheels, sourced from Forgiato, feature a tightly-spoked design with deep dishes and floating center caps.

While chrome may seem like a relic of the past to some, it’s clear that in true Florida fashion, there’s still a love for that shiny, over-the-top aesthetic. The new wheels radically change the Q8’s look, making it impossible to miss on the street. However, adding 30-inch wheels to an Audi Q8 is not a straightforward process. It’s an intense undertaking that required serious modifications beneath the surface.

Coast to Coast had to relocate sensors, shift the intercooler, and cut and weld the aluminum suspension arms to make room for the giant rims. And even after all that, the shop had to ensure the wheels didn’t mess with the SUV’s steering. One of the biggest achievements here is that Coast to Coast managed to keep the Q8’s adaptive air suspension intact.

Adding wheels this big usually messes with a vehicle’s ride quality, often leading to a stiffer, less comfortable drive. Still, the shop insists that the vehicle still drives comparably to a standard model.
