BMW lately, is getting better and better at giving its customers excellent performance vehicles. These last months, the BMW M5 CS and the new M4 and M3, were a total blast.  Now the market needs to make room for the next star to shine - the elegant and beastie F87 BMW M2. Some aftermarket tuners had the courage to tune the F87 chassis and famed turbocharged inline-six engine. Expert BMW tuners Lightweight Performance is giving a great goodbye to the F87 presenting its 'final edition' car.

The final edition of the F87 would bring fans a car with serious power, improved handling, even a reduced curb weight. With years of experience, Lightweight Performance, the tuner calls this Final Edition "the lovechild of almost five years of development." Based on a 2020 BMW M2 Competition the tuned version delivers 730 horsepower and 881 Newton-meters of torque due to extensive hardware tuning.

The tuning includes an HJS 2×200 Zeller downpipe, a custom exhaust, and a supposed turbocharger upgrade. An Eibach Pro Street Multi suspension system for the chassis, a BMW M Performance brake system along with a Lightweight brake cooling kit and steel braided brake lines. The bonus comes with the set of 19-inch Titan 7 forged wheels.

This Final Edition brings along a host of carbon fiber parts, that includes a carbon roof, front spoiler, rear spoiler, diffuser, and fenders. The cabin features rear passengers' single seats based on the standard M2 CS seats, all finished in leather and Alcantara. Also, the team had the F87s door panels and center console finished in carbon fiber. The shifter kit is a little bit shorter and the blue anodized pedals are finished off the cabin.

Still, BMW's LIGHTWEIGHT team promises there'll be more cars for the F87 series. Their next project is to convert the small coupé faster, better and there are rumors about the M2 Competence Center in Sinn – Fleisbach in line.
