Liberty Walk's Lamborghini Countach Transformation: A Supercar Icon Gets a Bold Makeover

The world of automotive customization is a realm of endless debate and fervent opinions. Last year, Japanese tuner Liberty Walk ignited a storm of discussions with their custom widebody Ferrari F40, leaving enthusiasts divided over the transformation of a legendary supercar. Now, as we eagerly await the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon, Liberty Walk is set to stir the pot once more, this time turning their attention to another '80s icon: the Lamborghini Countach.

As of now, we have only a tantalizing teaser video to whet our appetite, revealing the gradual evolution of the widebody Countach. Much like their approach with the F40, Liberty Walk has chosen a bold white exterior that accentuates the dramatic changes brought about by their new body components.

Lamborghini Countach Transformation

A Striking Transformation

The updated front end commands attention, boasting a prominent front splitter and a lower fascia adorned with a rectangular mesh covering three openings. This daring design choice imparts a uniquely boxy allure to the iconic Lamborghini's visage. Flanking the nose, canards on either side seamlessly blend into the widened fender flares, creating a fluid, curvaceous transition from the front to the wheel well.

Aesthetic Enhancements All Around

Moving to the sides, we're met with broader lower sills that elegantly bridge the expanded fenders. Liberty Walk doesn't stop there, as they introduce a new opening just ahead of the rear wheels. The upper portion of the tail sports body-color vertical strakes within the vents, hinting that this model is a modified 25th Anniversary Countach. Completing the ensemble, the classic supercar rests on dark-colored, deep-dish Rohana Forged wheels featuring distinctive Y-shaped spokes and Toyo tires.

Pushing the Boundaries

It seems the Countach's factory wing wasn't bold enough for the Liberty Walk touch. In its place, the tuner has installed an even more substantial wing that extends beneath the rear bumper, making a definitive statement. The rear transformation continues with flush-mounted taillights, replacing the inset lamps on the production version. Underneath, a massive diffuser enhances the motorsport-inspired aesthetic and reinforces the supercar's track-ready presence.

An Ongoing Debate

Liberty Walk's audacious approach to automotive customization is no stranger to controversy. Their F40 project from last year sparked passionate debates among car enthusiasts, and from the glimpses offered in this teaser video, it's safe to assume that their take on the Countach will be equally polarizing.

As we eagerly await the official unveiling at the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2024, one thing is certain: Liberty Walk's vision of the Lamborghini Countach is a testament to the ever-evolving world of automotive customization, where boldness and innovation continue to push the boundaries of automotive design.
