Heritage Customs, a prestigious Dutch coachbuilder, is making waves with its soft-top convertible Land Rover Defender, called the Valiance Convertible. The second example is already in production at their Enter factory, showcasing a unique blend of style and modification.

Based on the L663-generation Defender 90, the Valiance Convertible goes beyond the norm with a sixth seat, forged wheels, bespoke leather trim, and sports seats.

Finished in striking Sunbeam Yellow paint with black accents, including a roll cage, bonnet plates, and side air vents, it's a head-turner. The handmade fabric top, controlled electronically, adds a touch of sophistication. Inside, the Valiance Defender boasts black quilted upholstery, aluminum paneling, and a center-front-row passenger seat, creating a distinctive interior.

Priced at over £100,000, Heritage Customs plans to build just five of these convertibles, with around £58,000 allocated for the conversion itself. Interestingly, the powertrain remains in factory specification, a unique approach that allows customers to choose their desired setup. According to Niels van Roij, the company co-owner, the Valiance Convertible pays homage to the Defender's history with its charming soft-top design.

This isn't Heritage Customs' first venture into unconventional coachbuilt models. Previously, they've introduced a Rolls-Royce Wraith-based shooting brake and an estate-bodied Tesla Model S. Excitingly, Heritage hints at another drop-top conversion, described as the next iteration of the Heritage Customs Valiance Convertible, set to be revealed in the coming months. Stay tuned for more innovation from this creative coachbuilder!
