Heritage Reborn: Introducing The Abarth Classiche 1300 OT

Abarth is releasing a brand-new sports vehicle to commemorate their 75th anniversary. Specifically, Stellantis Heritage is preparing to produce and market the Abarth Classiche 1300 OT, an upgrade over the Classiche 1000 SP. The 1965 Fiat-Abarth OT 1300 is the model's obvious muse.

This racing vehicle won a number of races, including the Nürburgring and the Hockenheim Grand Prix. While the business refrained from gushing about its achievements, it did say that it wanted to "pay homage to the iconic car that achieved racing success half a century ago."

Stellantis Heritage remained tight-lipped about the new sports car's specifications, but they did provide images and a 1:3 scale model. It takes design cues from the iconic Alfa Romeo 4C and looks very similar to that vehicle, but with updated carbon fiber bodywork. A roof-mounted scoop, a vented hood, and minimalist headlamps are also there. Meanwhile, a distinctive back end, featuring a centrally positioned exhaust and a vented rear fascia with "ABARTH" branding, completes the look.

The company said that the "Abarth Classiche 1300 OT represents the most authentic and genuine way to honor an epic car that is still in the hearts of all true enthusiasts of the Abarth brand around the world." The Reloaded by Creators initiative is offering "enthusiasts the opportunity to own a contemporary reinterpretation of one of the most iconic cars from the 1960s" with the production of this car as part of its mission.

Stellantis Heritage, which is already taking orders, will only produce a maximum of five units. More information will be revealed closer to the introduction, but the Abarth Classiche 1000 SP featured a 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine that was turbocharged and produced 237 horsepower. It allowed the 2,368-pound sports vehicle to reach speeds of more than 155 miles per hour.
